Day 16

Today is “Reflection Saturday” and what a reflection today must be in our lives, as our devotion reminds us of the story in Acts 3 where Peter and John where headed to the temple and there was a man who could not walk and yet God was about to authenticate who He is through an AMAZING Miracle.

Day 15

Today is an eye opening day of thought as we think about and realize that once again we are just old wretched sinners. That is so true and such a reality, yet it is a humbling thought to know that I am sinner, however I have an AMAZING SAVIOR!

Day 14

I am so thankful today for God’s Covenants in our lives and the promises that He has made to each one of us as His children. If it were not for the promises of the Lord we would be without hope!

Day 13

Today we have hit the two week mark of our Lent Journey, and let me say that I am so thankful that you are continuing on this journey that you began. So far it has been an exciting and yet convicting journey for me personally, and I am thankful that the Lord is still working on me and making me into what He desires for me to be! My prayer is that you will continue to be strong and grow in the Lord as we continue this journey together!

Day 12

Today is Day 12 and what a wonderful and amazing thought today! As I reflect on the event that took place in this mans life as he had been healed I cannot imagine what it must have been like, except to compare it to my own salvation and the joy that he must have experienced. I can only imagine the people as they watched this event unfold and what must they have been thinking and the wonder and amazement of it all, and then I remember He is the same Lord and the same God that is still working wonders in peoples hearts and minds and bodies today!

Day 11

Here we are on another Monday, Day 11, of this amazing journey that the Lord has set out for us as a Church! This weeks devotions focus is on the Heirs of the Prophets. “Everything that Jesus did for us on Calvary, was foretold by the prophets.” As we consider this thought we look to Day 11’s devotion and it reminds us that Jesus had amazing compassion on everyone that needed Him! He still has that same compassion for us to which I am so thankful! He sees my every need and loves me and has compassion on me. He also sees the need of the world for a Savior which is why He went to that cruel cross, because compassion is something that everyone needs!

Day 10

Today is “Reflection Saturday”. When I think back on the scenarios that took place in Jesus’ life and then in the life of Peter, I am just amazed at how God used such a man as Peter with all of his flaws and brokenness to be such a soldier for the cause of Christ. The boldness that Peter displayed and exclaimed as he was teaching and preaching about His Savior and Messiah is remarkable. I pray that I have that type of boldness in my life and the ministry that God has given to me!

Day 9

Promises! Promises! We certainly live in a world where it is becoming increasingly more difficult to trust anyone, and as a result that lack of trust has boiled over into Christianity and into our relationship with Christ.

Day 8

Repentance is such a deep meaningful word that can really change someone’s life if they will allow it! I really enjoyed the authors thoughts about repentance especially “The true change that signal authentic repentance requires courage, faith and hope.” That is such a true and powerful statement! As I think about the concept of repentance and what it means to me as Christian, I realize even more how vitally important it is for me to not only confess my shortcomings to the Lord, but also to completely repent and turn away! We seem to be so good at confession in our lives, but how are we at repentance?
